FIELD NOTE
Sarah wrote O POSITIVE on her son’s collar and on both of his legs. Then she stepped back and let him walk out into it.
She did it quietly. She did not explain it to him and he did not ask her to, and that silence between them is the whole cost of the week, sitting in two words of ink on a boy’s boot.
Both boots. Think about why both. A mother wrote it twice because she had already pictured the version where only one of them comes back to her.
EP020 releases this weekend . Part 1 Sat. Part 2 Sun.
Season 1 runs two parts to an episode. Paid subscribers get each part the day it drops. Free subscribers wait a week.
